Traffic Street Underpass Mural

There is a brightly-coloured mural, designed by a Derby artist and local schools, in place in Traffic Street underpass.

Creating a warm welcome for shoppers, the mural is painted along the Traffic Street underpass, the main entrance linking the train station to Westfield Derby.

Winners of a competition run with local schools have had their drawings included in the mural which has a shopping experience theme, designed and led by Lynne Hollingsworth a Derby-based artist with over 15 years experience working with local communities.

Local schools were invited to design a pattern for a shopping bag, shoes or a t-shirt and three winning designs from Jessica Freeman from Woodlands Community School, Amy Potter from Beaufort Community Primary School and Olivia Cook from Curzon Primary School are included in the mural along with other highly commended entries.

You can also find their designs printed onto canvas and on the walls in the Parent Room on Level 1 near H&M Kids.
